To show you what type of man Dave Wilson was. My Aunt Lou Atkinson Tabor was orphaned out at an early age. One family mistreated her. They even fastened her all day in a dugout one time, but after Dave's family took her in, she was treated real well. Before her death, she often told me about being treated so well at Dave's. All this tribe of Wilsons were friendly and good to people.

Note: According to the 1850 census, Catherine would have been born 1843, not 1841 as her grave stone reads. Catherine Bilbrey's full name was Miranda Catherine Bilbrey, and called "Rindy". Rindy was the wife of David Wilson, and Rindy and David are both buried at Campground Cemetery, Fentress County, Tn. Rindy's birth date was stated as 19 Feb 1841, so this may be an error, she should have been born about 1843, if she was 7 years old in the 1850 Census.

He was married to Miranda Catherine "Rindy" Bilbrey (daughter of Russell Bilbrey and Nancy Copeland) about 1878 in Overton County, Tn. Miranda Catherine "Rindy" Bilbrey (1) was born on 19 Feb 1841 in Overton Co., Tn.(2) She died on 21 Jan 1916 in Campground Cemetery, Fentress Co., Tn.(2) She was buried on 24 Jan 1916 in Mt Union Miss, Baptist Church, Campground Cem, Fentress Co Tn.(2) She has Ancestral File number 1D92-KMW. Mirenda Catherine Bilbrey was 55 in the 1900 census for Overton Count y,
TN. Mirenda "Rindy" was married to David Wilson of Overton County, Tn . Rindy
is my great great great grandmother, and according to cemetery record s she is
buried at the Campground Cemetery in Clarkrange, Tn, Fentress County . but there
is no mention of David Wilson being buried there (her husband).
I'm pretty sure he is there, he's just in an unmarked grave.

I found out Mirenda's maiden name at the Family History Center in Ros eville, MI
(Mormon Church). I put in for the ancesters of David Wilson and it s howed
Rindy as Mirenda Catherine Bilbrey. All I knew was that her name wa s Rindy C.
Wilson. Rindy is even on her tombstone marker. At the Family Histor y Center I
obtained a listing of Rindy's ancestors, and found that my fifth gene ration
married a Davis on my husband's (Bill) side of the family, it was i n Bill's
sixth generation of Davis', on his mother's side of the family, Mar y Ellen
Davis Covington. David Crocket Wilson and Miranda Catherine "Rindy" Bilbrey had the following children:
