William Duval Lovett was called "Willie" by his family and friends. He always had to sleep on a feather bed, and carried the mattress with it whenever he went anywhere to sleep. Willie and his daughter Flossie lived in Tampa in 1930, and his son George Lovett drove there to visit with them. After a few weeks he went to Zephryhills to stay with his oldest son, Sam Lovett, and then on to his daughter Annie's house. While at Annie's house he got up early one morning, and unhitched his horses and he said he wasn't feeling good after breakfast, and they found him dead in his bed later that morning. So, he died in his daughter Annie's house while visiting with her.
