Lottie Mary Cherry Flippen, 73, died Friday, April 11, at Williamsom Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Flippen was a native of Nolensville and a life-long resident of Williamson County. She was the daughter of Minus Cherry, Sr. and Josie Covington Cherry. She was the sister of the late Minus Cherry, Jr. She was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of Nolensville United Methodist Church and was a member of the church. She was a homemaker. Survivers include her husband, Overton Flippen of Nolensville; two sons, Larry Flippen of Lewisbury and Charles Flippen of Nolensville; one brother Earl Cherry of Springfield; three grandchildren; one niece, Elaine Hughes of Nolensville; and one nephew Bill Cherry of Franklin. Funeral services were held on Sunday April 13, at Waller Chapel in Nolensville with the Rev. Melvin Brooks and Julian Goodpasture officiating. Burial was at Nolensville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alfred and Toby Scales, Dr. Joe Mack, Ken Gaidos, and Walter and Grady Yates. "The Review Appeal" Franklin, TN 4/23/97

She was married to Lawrence Overton FLIPPEN on 26 Nov 1949 in Nolensville, Williamson County, TN. Lottie Mary CHERRY and Lawrence Overton FLIPPEN had the following children:
