1850 Census for Overton County, Tn, showing Joseph with 2nd wife, "Fa nny" (Francis Key), with six more children: Daughters: Elizabeth, ag e 17, Nancy, age 15, Sarah, age 13, and Sons: Lewis, age 12, Edward , age 10, and William, age 7. Census indicated that Joseph Wilson wa s born in North Carolina.

In a book "Overton County Genealogical, by Whitley" states:

Deeds N. Page 374, Archibald B. Hays, and Neomy Hays, formerly Wilson , his
wife, being lawful heirs of Joseph Wilson decd, sold A.G. Speck for a nd in
consideration of the sum of $10.00 paid, 14 and six-fourteenths acre s on the
West fork of Obed's River. Interest claim and etc, that we have in a nd to the dower of the widow of said Wilson, decd, 10 Oct 1856, Signe d A.B. Hays, Neomy (X) Hays, Witnesses, Jas. A. Richardson, G. W. Spe ck.

on the side of Obed River, 1830,

Joseph owned land East Fork of the Obey River, 1826,

East of Clear Creek, bought 50 acres, in 1828 on Bill's Creek,

500 acres East Fork, West line of old Houser tract on what is now cal led Three Springs.

In the Fentress County Minutes Book, 1842-44, it appears that Josep h Wilson, William McClelland, Robert Boles, and John B. McCormack i f found in Fentress County personally to be and appear before the Jud ge of the Circuit Court for the County of Fentress to be held at th e Court House in Jamestown on 3rd Monday in June next, then and ther e to answer the President and Director of the Bank of Tn of a plea th at they render to them $125.00 to which they owe and from them unjust ly detainb to their damages $50.00.

Joseph Wilson paid taxes in Jackson County, TN, 9 May 1816, and 25 Feb 1819.

He was married to Martha Love about 1810 in Overton Co., Tn. He was married to Martha Love about 1817 in Overton Co., Tn.(2) Martha Love(1) was born in 1787 in Wilson County, TN. She died in Overton Co., Tn. Joseph Wilson and Martha Love had the following children:

child49 xi. Henry Wilson(1) was born in 1826 in Overton County, Tn.(2) Henry Wilson lived most of his life in a hollow tree, he was feeble minded. This was told by Moses Wilson's granddaughter, Mary Ann Wilson Phillips. Mary Ann Wilson Phillips was 93 years old as of Aug 1998, and she remembers her Grandpa Moses and his brother, her Uncle Berry Wilson talking of a brother named Henry that lived in a hollow tree. They also had a brother David, that she remembers them talking about,
