Pauline Fitzgerald was the daughter of George Albert and Kate Lovett Fitzgerald.
Pauline was born at home in Bushnell, Florida.
Dan Yerke moved to Florida in 1935, and lived at the Fitzgerald house for a while, and he met Pauline Fitzgerald. He had gone to Florida with his sister, Hannah and family (Hannah's husband worked in a car factory up north - Detroit, Michigan)

Pauline Fitzgerald graduated from Hudson High School, June 1940, and married Daniel Yerke, 25 Dec 1940, at her parent's home, 116 Oak Lane, Hudson, Florida.
Dan and Pauline had eight children together, and lived many years on the Perrine Ranch, where Dan worked the ranch and raised cattle. Later on they moved to New Port Richey. Dan worked his own lawn maintenance business.

David Eugene Yerke, born 2 Nov 1962, died 17 Feb 1984 (auto accident)
Dan died of prostrate cancer, 22 Aug 1994. He is buried at Meadow Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Elfters, Florida. Their son, David Eugene Yerke is buried next to him.

Dan was very good at making things, and he made each of his children a small scale house, with working windows, doors, and porches. He also made shell crafts, different animals and clowns out of shells, lawn mowers, just about anything. Pauline gave me some of the shell crafts which I have on display in a glass cabinet. They are very special to me.

Dan and Pauline had a pet spider monkey when their children were small, and they lived on Perrine Ranch. The monkey would swing aroung the house. I always had so much fun when we visited their house. I loved babies, and my Aunt Pauline always had a baby to play with, and all the other kids were fun to be with. Pauline and Dan were always pleasant and happy and I never heard them yell at any of their children. Everyone was always happy.


She was married to Daniel John Yerke (son of Adolph G Yerke and Lydia Yerke) on 25 Dec 1940 in Hudson, Florida, Pasco County, 116 Oak Lane. Daniel John Yerke (1) was born on 28 May 1918 in Gladwin Mi, Butman Township. (2) He died on 22 Aug 1994 in New Port Richey, Hospital, Florida, Pasco County, Meadow Lawn Cemetery, New Port Richey, Fl, Pasco C. (2) He was buried on 24 Aug 1994 in Meadowlawn Mem, Gardens Cemetery, Elfers, Florida, pasco County.(2) [Fitz.ged]
Daniel John Yerke was the husbland of Pauline Fitzgerald Yerke. Pauline and Dan were married, 25 Dec 1940, and had eight children together. Daniel died of prostrate cancer, 22 Aug 1994, and is now buried at Meadow Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Elfers, Florida. He is buried in the Remembrance Section, with his son, David Eugene Yerke. David was killed in a car accident, 17 Feb 1984.

Daniel Yerke was found in the 1920 Census, Gladwin, Michigan, Butman Township. The census showed the following information:
Father, Adolph Yerke, age 31, born 1885 in Russia/Poland. Adolphis father was born in Russia/Poland, and Adolph's mother was born in Germany. Adolph Yerke migrated to Boston, Mass in 1902.

Mother, Lydia Yerke, age 29, born Russia/Poland, and her father was also was born in Russia/Poland. Her mother was born in Germany. Lydia appeared to be born in Michigan, per the 1920 Michigan Census.
