Lilly Aline Wilson Bilbrey was the daughter of James K. Polk "Poke" Wilson, and Sally Simcox Wilson. Lilly grew up in Little Hurricane Creek area. Lilly was sick most of her life, and had to stay in bed alot. She married Burris Bilbrey and they had a son named Vernon Homer Bilbrey.

After the death of her father, Poke Wilson, 4 Dec 1933, her family moved to the Big Hurricane Creek area to the home of Poke's widow, Sally Simcox Wilson. Shortly thereafter, her husband, Burris Bilbrey built a home on Union B. Road. It was here that he and Lilly raised their family. It was also this home that Vernon brought his wife, Jenell Miller to the Bilbrey home.

I received a photo of Lilly, Burris, and their sons, Vernon and Roby Bilbrey, and Lilly's mother, Sally Simcox Wilson from Mary Ann Wilson Phillips Wilson (Monterey, Wilson). Mary Ann was the granddaughter of Moses and Celia Hays Wilson.


She was married to Burris Bilbrey on 31 Jan 1926 in Little Hurricane, Creek, Tn, Overton County. Burris Bilbrey (1) was born on 17 Oct 1905 in Little Hurricane, Creek, Tn, Overton County.(2) He died on 12 Mar 1982 in Little Hurricane, Creek, Tn, Overton County, Campground Cemetery, Fentress County. (2) He was buried on 14 Mar 1982 in Mt Union Miss, Bapt Church, Campground Cem, Fentress Co. (2) [Fitz.ged]

Burris Bilbrey information was obtained from the book, "History of Fentress County, written by the Fentress County Historical Society. Burris was the son-in-law of James K. "Polk" Wilson, son of David and Rindy Bilbrey Wilson. Polk married Sallie Simcox and they had a daughter named Lillie Aline Wilson, and she married Burris Bilbrey. They lived in Little Hurricane Creek, in Overton County, TN.

Marriage records found in LSD Family History Center, by Linda Wilson Young, of Huber Heights, Ohio, and sent to me. Lillie and Burris married 31 January 1926, Overton County, TN. Lilly Aline Wilson and Burris Bilbrey had the following children:
