Roy Lee Wilson was the son of Auston "Ought" "Aut" wilson and Ollie Miller Wilson. Roy's brothers were Rich (William Richard), Roe (David Monroe), and Ras (Rasberry). His sisters were Mary, Lori and Maude Wilson.

A photo of Roy's mother, Ollie Miller Wilson and her father, Ervin Miller was found in the book, "Remembrance II", by Luther Atkinson, 1993. In the short article under the photo stated that Ollie and Ought Wilson's children were, Roe, Rich, Ras, Roy, Mary, Lori and Maude. There is also a photot of Mary Ellen Wilson Neely with her husband, John Calvin Neely with some of their children.
